๐Overview
Yeast Infections, also known as candidiasis, occur when Candida fungi, particularly Candida albicans, grow excessively in or on the body. While these organisms often exist naturally in small amounts, an imbalance can lead to clinical symptoms in various locations.
These infections are categorized based on the affected area, including the mouth, skin, or vaginal tract. In some instances, the fungi may enter the bloodstream or affect internal organs, a condition referred to as invasive candidiasis.
